Coleman Powermate Vantage 3500 Generator Manual
I'm no engine expert, but was able to install this carburetor quickly and easily on my 8HP Tecumseh engine. The float on the old carburetor was pitted and had a fuel leak. The engine did not run smoothly with the old carburetor.
This one works great! Like having a new engine.
My only concern is there is an additional intake connection above the throat leading just inside the choke plate that the old carburetor didn't have. I have no idea what it is for, however, the engine runs fine with it not connected to anything.

Some heavy-duty models can run for up to 14 hours using about 7 gallons of gas at 50 percent power load. Using the idle-control feature, you can extend the life of the unit. The Powermate generator can automatically reduce engine speed to about 2200 rotations per minute, or a 'No Load' state. If your Powermate generator is failing to idle as designed, there are at least four basic troubleshooting steps that you can perform before possibly needing to call for service.
